New strong Silly season signature in box for DAB. SkateOrDie with Nix!

"As a cross-country athlete myself, I completely lost motivation when the training program went from 2 to 5 joint sessions a week and races at the weekends. I think the daily life of young cross-country skiers is characterized by an overly intense training programme, an over-focus on equipment and mass training as well as seriousness, and therefore little scope for the creative soul who wants to ski because it's fun".

NIX is known as a creative soul, as I said, and for the past 10 years he has lived by creating innovative works of art in large formats all over the world, including with the artist duo BROSLO, who were also commissioned to design the Olympic collection for the Norwegian national cross-country team in Beijing 2022.

What most people don't know is that Nix is also a very skilled cross-country skier. In his youth he took part in countless races with Heming IL and was a coach for kids in the club for several years after that. His message to the kids then was; "stock up, but remember to keep it fat". During his time in Heming, he had one of Norway's most renowned trainers; Dag Kaas and he have trained with Ludvig "Ludde" Søgnen Jensen, who he believes is a very good example of a person who manages to mix seriousness and fun on skis.
Nix is known for showing up in Kollen with tights, baggy shorts and jersey - to show that alternative clothing styles and creative souls also have power in the sky. Nix was a pioneer in spreading alternative cross-country training in social media with drone shots and edits for skate sessions in the Norwegian mountains. When cross-country skiing became too serious, Nix switched to - and became a skilled snowboarder and skater. This part of the joy of activity characterized his young exploratory adult life with trips to the USA with our own coach Lars Haugvad. Here his creativity was given full scope!
